Section—I

1. Discuss the revenue administration of the
Guptas.
2. Describe the economy of South India during
3rd-6th Century C.E.
3. Discuss the nature of monarchical polities of
the Kadambas and the Chalukyas of Badami.
4. Write a note on the debates on the origins of
the Rajputs.

Section—II

5. Discuss the Arab conquest of Sindh and its
consequences.

6. Write a note on the caste system in the post-
Gupta period.

7. Discuss the growth of Bhakti Movement in the
post-Gupta period.
8. Write short notes on any two of the following in
250 words each :

(c) Growth of literature during Gupta period
